Paul Lavigne Running for the Board of Directors
Paul Lavigne Running for the Board of Directors

Over the last few years, I have had the opportunity to interact with Paul Lavigne and have found him to be a person of intelligence, principle and compassion. Paul is someone who concentrates on details but is also able to see the big picture. I know this from my experiences with him in the business arena as well as on the personal side.
I first came into contact with Paul shortly after my husband died. I was introduced to him by a friend and almost immediately Paul set about finding ways to help me deal with my distress regarding all the details I was facing. Primarily, was the issue of my husband’s collection of records which numbered in the thousands. Paul not only researched the issue but located AND delivered hundreds of the record albums to a dealer who purchased them. From my personal experience I would say that he is definitely a compassionate person who is also a problem solver!
As members of the Four Seasons Theater Club, Paul and I were assigned the task of revamping the leadership structure. This was quite complicated since our club has a large number of detailed tasks that must be accomplished in order to produce the three productions we perform each year. It was here that I observed the breadth of Paul’s expertise in organizing and technical skills. Paul created charts and organizational plans that covered every task and included a detailed description of each position. It was a pleasure to work with him on this complicated and detailed task since Paul was easy to work with and took time to thoroughly explain his reasoning.
I have been impressed by Paul’s interest, concern and responses to the needs he has observed in our community. For example, when he realized that when paramedics were called to a home for an emergency, many people were either unable to remember what medications they were taking or were not able to respond. Paul solved this problem by introducing the Right to Life?? File which was made available to every household in our community. This is a person who not only sees a problem but sets about finding a solution!
I consider Paul to be a dear friend but also respect him as a consummate profession and one who would serve our community as a dedicated and resourceful member of our Board of Directors.
