Paul Lavigne Running for the Board of Directors
Victoria Steidemann, Resident since 2006. I so admire our Four Seasons residents who bravely choose to run for our Board. It’s a huge undertaking, with each candidate bringing their unique personality, perspectives, and talents to the table. And for those who serve our Board, I am so appreciative of that tireless commitment to serving our community. While I’ve chosen to abstain from personal endorsements of Board candidates – I am happy to share a bit about Paul and what a special person I consider him to be. Our friendship began several years ago, during my time as President of Four Seasons Players. As with most community clubs, it’s crucial to find members who embrace key contributory roles. I quickly learned that Paul was one of those people. Although brand new to the club, he showed his ALL-IN attitude. First, he took on the role of Performance Photographer – without any bona fide experience – and elevated it to a new level with forward-thinking ideas for improving the equipment and the production processes. He then eagerly embraced the role of Herald Chronicler, producing delightfully engaging articles to captivate our community’s readers. About a year later, I chose to retire as President of the club I loved. Players members agreed that an experienced Manager/Facilitator was needed to achieve a successful transition to new leadership – and Paul was the perfect fit. He formed a transition team of core members to establish a new organizational structure to maintain the core Mission, Vision and Goals, while driving the club forward. He was instrumental in ensuring that positive momentum persevered throughout the process – always showing strength, integrity, and perseverance. The club continues to thrive today and I’m sure all members respect and appreciate that he was a key driver to that success. I am so happy to have met Paul through the Players Club and am even happier that our friendship continues to prevail today, long after my time with the club.
